Spice It Up
New Yorkers are known for their very bold and unique sense of style. Because of this I felt free to step out of my normal attire which consist of neutral tones and spice it up by playing with color.
This first outfit is my favorite from the entire trip. It came together accidentally while I was playing around in my closet. I knew this beautiful pleated skirt was something I wanted to wear while in NYC. Originally, I planned to pair it with a blush crop top or a white tank. I was actually trying on this green top with white slacks as an outfit. I changed into this skirt to see if it fit, I was surprised at how adorable the two pieces looked together.
The top is a super simple piece from Rue 21 that I grabbed off the clearance rack. I absolutely adore the floral print on this Bebe skirt. It’s a work of art , So I wore it to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) as well as Central Park.
While in the big Apple, I went on a boat tour of the city. I desired to enjoy this relaxing activity in every way so I slipped back into my comfort zone with this black romper. I felt the Denim cover made a super cute addition and added some sort of color while also keeping me warm on the water. The pairing of these two items was also a very beautiful accident.
My romper is from Charming Charlie, one of my favorite accessory stores and the Denim Cover is from Belk which has some of the best priced and quality apparel around.
This gorgeous , flowing, colorful dress was a showstopper in Times Square the night I attended the Lion King Play. I received so many compliments on this dress from the hotel staff , people walking on the street, and even friends of Russell Westbrook that accompanied him to the play. I felt so beautiful wearing it. This was actually a gift from a friend so unfortunately I’m not sure on where it came from but I am sure that this was exactly the spice and color I wanted to embrace while taking THE BIG APPLE my way.
