What is white privilege?

An invisible package of unearned assets and advantages unavailable to non white or minorities in Western Civilization.

White privilege is real. Acknowledging that it exist as a white or Caucasian person is okay. It’s more than okay, it’s BEAUTIFUL.

When I hear or see fellow African Americans speak out against the injustices we face on a daily, I feel a sense of pride and unity. When a member of rich , white America uses their privilege to do the same, I instantly become thankful. It takes courage to support the unpopular opinion and to use “white privilege” to shine light on someone else’s struggle.

Today I specifically want to say thank you to Anne Hathaway. Although I have followed her career, I don’t know much about her personal life or beliefs. Today on instagram she took a beautiful moment to shed light on the life and loss of Nia Wilson.

Thank you for using your privilege . Thank you for shedding light. Thank you for these powerful words. Thank you for this beautiful moment.
