The Lamb

Mona ordered a little lamb …..

About a week ago was my daddy’s birthday. In celebration , our church hosted a luncheon at Zea’s which happens to be one of my favorite places.

There were between 25 and 30 people in attendance. What a fabulous fellowship it was!

Although we had such a large party , we were assigned only one waiter. The luncheon begin at 1, my order was not taken until 3 and my food arrived at 4.

I ordered the lamb sirloin with a side of broccoli and corn grits.

Once my meal finally arrived at the table I was so disappointed to find that my corn grits were missing. I was so hungry but at this point I did not eat until I had my entire meal.

The only thing that saved this experience was the tender lamb melting on my tongue after taking the first bite. The corn grits were outstanding as well but the broccoli was missing something, SEASONING. It was very bland.

I must admit I enjoyed myself and my meal, I will definitely return but based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend hosting an event with such a large party at Zea’s in Kenner.
