Although I’ve taken two really nice vacations this summer, I needed one last get away before I go back to school later this month.
I chose the Margaritaville resort in Biloxi because it was only an hour and a half away from my home.
I’m so glad I did. This was honestly the perfect change of scenery. Everything you could possibly need was either on the resort or somewhere near by.
The very first thing I wanted to do when I arrived was hit the swim up bar and relax in the pool. The swim up bar is literally in the middle of the pool. I ordered a watermelon margarita which was very tasty but very strong.
The big kid in me also really enjoyed the lazy river and water slide.
All of that water fun worked up quite an appetite. I just chose to dine at Doe’s Eat Place restaurant on the resort. Because my trip was booked through Expedia , I received a $10 off voucher for any meal or drink on the resort . I ordered the dozen fried shrimp as an appetizer, 6oz medium well sirloin as my entree , and steak fries as the side. In honor of being at Margaritaville I ordered another margarita this time , blackberry.
The only complaints I had about this meal were that the steak fries were absolutely awful and I was annoyed that I was forced to order it a la cart. Every other part of the Does experience deserves 5 stars from the ambiance on down. The steak was amazing. It was so tender that it was like butter melting in my mouth. Those fried shrimp were seasoned so well and another hats off for a strong but tasty blackberry margarita with fresh blackberries in it.
The big kid in me felt so much excitement for the Escape Arcade and entertainment. Another perk of booking through Expedia was I also received a $10 voucher for the arcade which was a nice start. The Escape arcade offers rock climbing , bowling in addition to the arcade. It was like Dave and Busters but on a much larger scale.
If you have kids or are a kid at heart then there are plenty of beautiful moments to be had at Margaritaville.
